40,000 Readers and Still Growing: AGBU AVC’s Multimedia e-Books Bring Armenia Closer to the World 07/09/2026

Imagine having a personal guide to Armenia in your pocket—offering historic sites, scenic routes, cultural landmarks and even essential vocabulary for visitors.

As interest in Armenia continues to grow among travelers, AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC) is celebrating a digital milestone: its multimedia e-books, designed to popularize knowledge about Armenia and help visitors explore the country, have reached more than 40,000 users creating a wide community worldwide.

Since launching its first multimedia e-book, “The Armenian Highland” in 2014, AVC has been steadily redefining how people explore Armenia. What began as an innovative educational project has evolved into a dynamic digital library that introduces readers to Armenia’s history, culture, landscapes, and city life through engaging multimedia experiences.

“The Armenian Highland” is a comprehensive guide that immerses users in the landscapes, history, and culture of the region. From mountains to ancient monasteries and archaeological sites, this e-book provides travelers with a rich overview of the Highland’s natural and cultural treasures.

Among the most popular titles is “Exploring Yerevan: A Look Inside the City’s Past and Present”, an interactive guide that introduces readers to Armenia’s capital through its history, architecture, culture, and urban development. Designed specifically with travelers in mind, the e-book includes suggested city tours and hikes, helping visitors make the most of their time in Yerevan.

The series extends far beyond the capital. The “Vayots Dzor” e-book serves as a comprehensive guide to one of Armenia’s most fascinating regions, introducing readers to its historical monuments, natural wonders, local traditions, cuisine, festivals, and adventure opportunities. Interactive maps, multimedia resources, and practical travel information make it an ideal helper for travelers seeking meaningful experiences.

Similarly, “From Kumayri to Gyumri” offers an engaging virtual guide to Armenia’s cultural capital in the north, combining history, heritage preservation, and informative maps that help visitors better understand the city’s unique character and evolution.

All the e-books are available free of charge and in 7 languages.

The success of the series reflects AVC’s broader mission of making Armenian education accessible “anytime, anywhere.”

If you’re planning your summer adventure in Armenia, consider this series as your starting point.
