Expanding Collaboration with Armenian Communities in Canada 12/10/2018

Each year, more adult learners find out the benefits of studying at the AGBU Armenian Virtual College. The AVC online courses allow for flexibility, which is especially important for adult students with busy schedules.

This year, AGBU Toronto started a course with AVC in Western Armenian for adults. Sixteen learners attend weekly classes where the teacher-led instruction is complemented by the AVC online lessons. AVC provided training for the teacher Rosa Der Harootunian.

Toronto is the second city in Canada where AVC started a hybrid education program. In recent years, the College has been actively collaborating with the AGBU Alex Manoogian School in Montreal. Students from another Armenian school in Montreal, the Hayortyats Or Saturday School, learn to play chess, take part in social events, virtual tours and global video projects with AVC.
