Online Award Ceremony for AVC Hybrid Students From SFedU 02/28/2022

The first group of students from the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don successfully completed the first level of the AVC Armenian Language course and received certificates.

AVC Education Team manager Marine Khachaturyan and online instructor Gohar Gevorgyan hosted the online awards ceremony and presented digital certificates to the ten SFedU students. They also prepared a short presentation with interesting facts about Armenia’s history, culture and tourist attractions.

The collaboration between AVC and SFedU was established in 2021. The success of the program was made possible thanks to the continuous efforts of SFedU professor Olga Shevchenko and the executive director of the Nakhichevan-on-Don Armenian community Sergey Sayadov. The SFedU students study Armenian under the guidance of AVC’s online instructor and the local teacher Tsovinar Sargsyan.

The Nakhichevan-on-Don community was one of the first to join the AVC hybrid education program. Since 2011, the local AVC Lab has been providing opportunities for students of all ages to study the Armenian language and learn about their heritage.
