AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC) launches the Second Edition of AVC Learning Zone 05/11/2020

New Edition for a New virtual experience

YEREVAN – On May 11, AGBU Armenian Virtual College (AVC) is back with the Second Edition of the AVC Learning Zone interactive e-learning platform to offer a brand-new virtual experience for learners from Armenian and Diaspora free of charge.

The new edition of AVC Learning Zone is full of surprises and fresh impressions. During for weeks (May 11 – June 6), AVC Learning Zone 2.0 will deliver 20 new exciting topics on the Armenian language, history, music, gastronomy, chess, and architecture. While half of the learning process consists of self-education based on daily activities, the other half gives an opportunity for live communication and discussions with peers, guest speakers, and caring AVC instructors during online Meetups or on thematic forums.

As a response to a high interest in online chess sessions among AVC Learning Zone attendees, the Second Edition foresees a special novelty for chess lovers of any age. Anyone passionate about chess will be able to make their moves and show their mastery within global online chess tournament, which will start later this month.

AVC Learning Zone was launched by AGBU Armenia on March 26, 2020 to meet the high demand for continuous online Armenian education during the global COVID-19 crisis. The first edition of the free e-learning platform also lasted a month and had a great success both inside Armenia and in Diaspora attracting over 500 platform users on daily basis. The AVC Learning Zone attendees have formed groups of committed students, who have eventually formed new international networks.

The AVC Learning Zone initiative was welcomed by the Armenian Government and has received numerous positive feedbacks from the participants from around the globe.
