Bulgaria Continues Collaboration with AVC 09/28/2015
Sonia Avakian-Bedrossian, the Chairperson of the AGBU Sofia Chapter and Richard Makinadjian from Marcel, France were at AVC on September 28, 2015, to discuss the success of AVC hybrid (blended) education program in the AGBU Sofia Hayler Sunday School, and further collaboration perspectives. The successful implementation of the AVC blended education system in Hayler School since the winter of 2014—with twenty students completing the Eastern Armenian course, became a good example and created the basis for further cooperation and the realization of new projects with the school. Sonia Avakian-Bedrossian discussed the continuity of the program in the Hayler School with AVC Academic Director Hasmik Khalapyan and AVC Hybrid Education Coordinator Arpine Tavakalyan. Sonia Avakian-Bedrossian thanked the AVC team for their dedication and efforts in supporting the Haler School with innovative programs, and especially for the extracurricular activities which had an even bigger impact in terms of helping students tighten their bond with the homeland. Richard Makinadjian, a young Armenian man from Marcel, France, was enthusiastic about the collaboration between AVC and the Hayler School and expressed his willingness to see the expertise shifted in the Armenian school in Marcel, France. He promised to assess the chances of the Hybrid Program in his hometown and offer AVC practical suggestions for cooperation later on. More and more schools and communities all over the world hope to join the AVC network of Hybrid Schools in order to take advantage of the benefits of onsite and online learning simultaneously!
