Jerusalem: Hybrid Program Planned for Sts. Tarkmanchatz Armenian School 12/05/2016

AVC Hybrid Program continues to record new success stores and an increased interest in its innovative teaching methods. During his recent trip to Jerusalem, AVC Founder Dr. Yervant Zorian met with the leads of the Sts. Tarkmanchatz Armenian School , which has long been planning to incorporate AVC’s History course into its curricula.

During his meeting with the school principal Father Norayr Kazazian and history teacher Horout Baghamyan, Dr. Zorian highlighted the benefits of hybrid learning, the blend of traditional and online education, and especially the possibility of providing customized courses to schools and communities according to the particular needs of the students and curricula formats. The school plans to join the Hybrid Program in the near future to fully leverage the advantages of blended education, as well as the cultural social activities offered within the framework of the program. Through these types of virtual social events and e-Chat Room sessions, AVC and the Sts. Tarkmanchatz Armenian School will help students tighten their bond with the homeland and stay connected to global Armenians.

The visit to Jerusalem also included a prolific meeting with Patriarch Nourhan Manougian of Jerusalem. The Patriarch expressed appreciation for the work AVC carries out – the significance of teaching the Armenian language, history and culture, and creating an innovative series of e-Books. Dr. Zorian also met Dr. Minas Kojoyan, the editor-in-chief of the Armenian Sion journal, and discussed future plans of collaboration with him in multiple spheres.

The visit set the foundation for a new collaboration with the community and the school around the diverse programs offered at AVC.
